PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent image degradation due to residual filming which remains on a surface of a latent image carrier with time. ! SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a filming counter which acquires a count value obtained by accumulating individual filming counter calculation values based on a photoreceptor moving distance; a heater 20 which removes moisture from a substance adhered on a surface of a photoreceptor 2; and a control section 600 which controls the heater to operate in a predetermined dehumidifying timing when the count value of the filming counter exceeds a prescribed value. !
