PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock-up device and a torque converter capable of suppressing hysteresis torque caused by friction between a damper spring and a clutch piston, and improving a torque fluctuation attenuation performance of an engine.SOLUTION: A torque converter 100 includes a lock-up device 200 directly connecting a torque converter cover 101 rotating integrally with a pump impeller 102 to a turbine runner 103 coupled to an output shaft 104. The lock-up device 200 includes: a damper spring 203 provided in a clutch piston 201 in contact with or separated from the torque converter cover 101; and an intermediate member 210 provided inward of the damper spring 203. A central portion of the damper spring 203 is projected radially inward of the clutch piston 201 and pressed against a projection section 213 of the intermediate member 220 by damper pressing sections 205 and 213 arranged on both ends of the damper spring 203 and a coupling member 220. |
