PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and a control method, which enables the light emission control and the sensing control while suppressing deterioration in image quality.SOLUTION: A display device comprises: a display unit including a pixel circuit including a light-emitting element, a switch transistor with a first terminal thereof connected to the light-emitting element and a second terminal connected to a first power source, the first power source being connected to the light-emitting element on the basis of the voltage applied to a control terminal to thereby cause the light-emitting element to emit light, and a sensing switch transistor with a first terminal connected to the light-emitting element and with a second terminal connected to a second power source, the second power source being connected to the light-emitting element on the basis of the voltage applied to the control terminal through a second signal line to thereby cause the light-emitting element to be sensed; and a control unit that controls the sensing and the light emission of the light-emitting element. The control unit expresses the grayscale by controlling the light emission period. By switching between the first power source and the second power source to be connected to the light-emitting element in the light emission period, the light emission control and the sensing control are enabled at the same time. |
