<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable electrochemical cell in which no internal short circuit is caused even when a container thereof is reduced in size and in thickness.SOLUTION: There is provided an electrochemical cell 1 which is formed of: a recessed container 2 an inside of which is a housing portion 2a and which has insulation properties; a seal ring 3 joined on an upper end surface of the recessed container 2; and a lid part 4 joined on an upper surface of the seal ring 3 and closing the upper surface of the seal ring 3. In the electrochemical cell, the recessed container 2 comprises a square plate-like bottom part 2b and a square frame-like wall part 2c standing on an outer edge of the bottom part 2b, a positive electrode 8 is housed inside the recessed part (housing portion 2a) of the recessed container 2 formed of the bottom part 2b and the wall part 2c, and, when the height of the wall part 2c is 0.3 mm or less, the recessed container 2, the seal ring 3 and the positive electrode 8 are arranged to satisfy D≥60μm, where D represents the distance between the positive electrode 8 and the seal ring 3.</p> |
