The present invention relates to a method for preparing a highly-active supported metallocene catalyst with high apparent density. More specifically, provided is a method for preparing a supported metallocene catalyst in which one or more kinds of metallocene compound is supported in a silica carrier, the silica carrier being supported by an amount of co-catalyst larger than a conventional method which penetrates the interior of the silica carrier, and a significant amount of co-catalyst which is combined also with the exterior of the silica carrier. The catalyst according to the present invention can prepare a polyolefin polymer with improved polymer apparent density and efficiency while maintaining highly-active catalyst properties.
