An apparatus for measuring a physiological signal includes a battery cover which covers a region to and from which a battery of a terminal device is attached and detached, a sensor unit which senses the physiological signal included in the battery cover, and a control unit which controls the sensor unit to sense the physiological signal. The apparatus for measuring the physiological signal is attached to and detached from the terminal device by attaching and detaching the battery cover to and from the terminal device.
