<p>The present invention relates to a USB memory apparatus having an authentication function using an RFID and an operating method thereof. According to the present invention, the USB memory apparatus having an authentication function using an RFID comprises: a USB connector connected to a computer, and transmitting and receiving data; at least one flash memory for storing the data transmitted and received with the computer; a USB memory controller for controlling at least one flash memory, and controlling a transmission and a reception of the data with the computer through the USB connector; an RFID TAG controller for controlling the transmission and the reception of the data in accordance with an RFID reader installed in the computer and an RFID standard size, and carrying out an authentication for a user by receiving a unique ID of the RFID reader from the RFID reader, activating the USB memory controller if the authentication for the user succeeds, and inactivating the USB memory controller if the authentication for the user fails; and an RFID antenna for producing a power necessary for the RFID TAG controller by wirelessly receiving a power in accordance with the RFID standard size from the RFID reader, and having an RFID wireless antenna function in accordance with the RFID standard size.</p> |
