<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus for collecting graphite and a method for collecting graphite by using the same wherein the apparatus for collecting graphite comprises a melting furnace to store molten iron; an immersion tube which is partly immersed into the inside of the molten iron in the upper part of the melting furnace, and has a cover space to cover bath surfaces of molten iron; a gas supplying device which is connected to the immersion tube to supply gas into the melting furnace; and a collecting device which is connected to the outside of the immersion tube to be mutually connected to the cover space. The apparatus enables the immersion tube to fall and be immersed into the melting furnace having stored molten iron and supplies gas into the inside of the immersion tube, thereby separating graphite from the molten iron and collecting the same and increasing collected amounts of graphite which is a kish graphite whose carbon content is at least 99% from the melting iron while easily collecting the same. The apparatus of the present invention does not need a collection step compared with an existing apparatus and accordingly increases yield of process while reducing cost and time of treating byproducts because byproducts like waste slag or waste solution which are generated after collecting graphite in the existing apparatus are not generated in the apparatus of the present invention.</p> |
