<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing body closing device capable of reducing engaging sound generated during capture of a member to be captured and a capture member of a capture and retraction mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: An opening/closing body closing device 10 includes: a member 11 to be captured, which is attached to either one of an opening/closing body 2 or a fixing member 1; a capture and retraction mechanism 20 attached to the other of the opening/closing body 2 and the fixing member 1 and provided with a capture member 120 for capturing the member 11 to be captured, and an abutting block 110 for moving the capture member 120 and capturing the member 11 to be captured by being abutted to the member 11 to be captured and pressurized by opening/closing force for moving the opening/closing body 2 along the fixing member 1; and a first elastic body 226 for energizing the opening/closing body 2 in a forcibly closing direction.
