<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-way switching valve capable of being easily installed on an air-conditioner or the like without requiring connection of piping for releasing a fluid generated accompanying a switching operation of the three-way switching valve to external piping or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This three-way switching valve 1 includes: a main valve 11 which includes a valve body 12 having a closed space 15 and first and second spaces 24, 25 at both sides thereof, a first pipe 20 communicating with the closed space, second and third pipes 21, 22 connected adjacent to each other and communicating with the closed space, a valve seat 18 having opening parts 18a, 18b communicating with the respective second and third pipes, and a valve element 17 slidably disposed at the valve seat, wherein the valve element is slid in one direction or another direction by a pressure difference between the first and second spaces to selectively switch the communication state between the first and second pipes or between the first and third pipes; and a pilot valve 31 which imparts the pressure difference between the first and second spaces.
