Isothermal analysis system and method

Isothermal analysis system for determining the amount of total organic carbon (TOC) and/or total inorganic carbon (TIC) in drill cuttings.
The drill cuttings are heated in a furnace (136) at a constant temperature and the development of gases are monitored. The signals of the detector (138) are processed by a computer system (112) which detects and identifies the peaks and calculates the amounts of the corresponding compounds.
