<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorine-containing (meth)acrylic acid ester compound dispensing with a step of extraction or isolation after synthesis, capable of being synthesized easily without generating waste containing chlorine, and capable of obtaining a low refractive index by attaining a high fluorine content rate, even when using a compound having a fluoroalkyl chain having a small carbon number as a fluorine source. <P>SOLUTION: A (meth)acrylic acid is reacted with a fluorine-containing epoxy compound to obtain a (meth)acrylic acid ester compound represented by formula (2), and a polybasic carboxylic acid anhydride is reacted with a hydroxy group in the compound to obtain a carboxy group-containing (meth)acrylic acid ester compound, and a fluorine-containing epoxy compound is reacted with a carboxy group in the compound to obtain a fluorine-containing (meth)acrylic acid ester compound.
