An object is to restrict a communicable range in an area in which an electric wave used for a wireless communication arrives. A wireless access point superimposes establishment information used for establishing a wireless communication channel between a communication terminal and the own device on a sound signal (S1, S2), and emits a sound wave corresponding to the sound signal to a speaker (S3). The communication terminal acquires the sound signal representing the sound wave detected by a microphone, and extracts the establishment information including an SSID, an encryption key, and an expiration time of validity of the encryption key from the acquired sound signal (S4, S5). The communication terminal transmits the extracted establishment information to the wireless access point to establish the wireless communication channel between the communication terminal and the wireless access point, and conducts a communication through the established wireless communication channel (S6 to S8). The establishment information is distributed to an area in which the sound wave emitted by the speaker arrives. Therefore, the area in which the wireless communication is conducted becomes substantially smaller than a range in which an electric wave for actually conducting the wireless communication with the wireless access point arrives. |
