The invention relates to a device for controlling the inlet openings in a collecting line for combustion air on the ceiling of coke oven chambers of the "heat-recovery" type, through which combustion air is admitted into a collecting line which is used for supplying primary combustion air for the openings of the coke oven chamber in the ceiling of the coke oven chamber, whereby a directed, wind-protected and simultaneous introduction of primary combustion air into the openings of the ceiling of a coke oven chamber is carried out, and whereby the pressure loss is less than in the prior art due to the short distance as a result of the arrangement of the inlet openings in the collecting line. Also claimed is a method, in which primary combustion air can be admitted into the gas chamber of a coke oven chamber, wherein a simultaneous control of the inlet opening valves of the collecting line is allowed, and furthermore a control of the sliding flaps in adaptation to the coking process is made possible. |
