PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a recording head capable of accurately positioning a scatterer and a core and improving generation efficiency of near-field light, and to provide the recording head and an information recording and reproducing device.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of a recording head comprises: a first clad formation step of forming a first clad 24a; a core formation step of forming base material of a core 23 on the first clad 24a; a scatterer formation step of forming base material of a scatterer 27 on a lower end surface 23b of the base material of the core 23; a patterning step of patterning the base material of the core 23 and the base material of the scatterer 27, and collectively patterning the core 23 and the scatterer 27 in the same process to form the core 23 and the scatterer 27; an adjustment step of etching only the scatterer 27 and adjusting an outer shape of the scatterer 27; and a second clad formation step of forming a second clad 24b so as to sandwich the core 23 between the second clad and the first clad 24a. |
