New fractions of chamomile extracts and uses thereof

The present invention relates to new fractions of chamomile extract wherein only traces of total apigenins and essential oil are present, a process for the preparation of such extract, compositions comprising it, and the use of the extract and of the compositions for the protection of the skin or mucous membranes.
