<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal polyester fiber that has high strength, high elastic modulus and high heat resistance and is excellent in wear resistance, process passability and post-processability, and a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided: a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal polyester fiber in which a liquid crystal polyester fiber is coated with inorganic particles (A) and a phosphoric acid-based compound (B) and subjected to a solid phase polymerization, and then the fiber on which the inorganic particles (A) and the phosphoric acid-based compound (B) are attached is subjected to a heat treatment at a temperature higher than the melting point of the fiber by +50°C or more; a liquid crystal polyester fiber obtained by the manufacturing method: and a mesh fabric comprising the liquid crystal polyester fiber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
