<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye-sensitized solar cell by which both generation efficiency and designability can be achieved easily. <P>SOLUTION: A submodule 130 includes a plurality of cells 100. The cells 100 is a dye-sensitized solar cell that causes an electron to be generated from an action electrode at a lighting surface side and takes in the electron from a counter electrode of a non-lighting surface side. the action electrode of a first cell and the counter electrode next to a second cell are connected to each other, so that the plurality of cells are connected to each other in series. Here, each cell included in the submodule 130 is arranged in rotational symmetry with respect to a specific first axis.
