The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating STAT3-mediated diseases, comprising a Salvia plebeia R. Br. extract or fraction thereof as an active ingredient, and to a method for treating STAT3-mediated diseases, comprising a step of injecting the composition into an individual suspected of having a STAT3-mediated disease.
