The present invention provides a catalyst for manufacturing an oxygenated carbon compound from synthesis gas, wherein a catalytically active metal with a crystal shape is carried in a carbon carrier. According to the present invention, the catalyst for manufacturing an oxygenated carbon compound from synthesis gas is economically efficient with low content of high-priced metal. In addition, the size of a metal particle and the crystal structure enable to maximize productivity and selectivity of a C_(2+) oxygenated carbon compound, thereby providing high catalytic activation and high selectivity.
