<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting ceramic, such as a wavelength conversion ceramic and a radiation-light conversion ceramic, which emits light when radiation or light is incident on the ceramic, with a short attenuation time of light emission. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting ceramic is obtained by heat-treating in a reducing atmosphere a complex perovskite type compound expressed by (A<SB POS="POST">(1-x)</SB>B<SB POS="POST">x</SB>)(C<SB POS="POST">(1-y)</SB>Ta<SB POS="POST">y</SB>)O<SB POS="POST">w</SB>, provided that A is at least one selected from the group consisting of La, Gd. Yb and Lu; B is at least either of Sr and Ba; C is at least either of Al and Ga; 0.2≤x≤0.95; 0<y≤0.6; 0.4≤y/x≤0.6; and W is a positive number for keeping neutrality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
