<p>Disclosed is a fuel supply control apparatus (51) for an internal combustion engine (1), which performs a fuel type changing control, i.e., which can supply two or more types of fuel having different characteristics to the internal combustion engine (1) and which can change the types of fuel and supply the fuel during the operation of the internal combustion engine (1). The fuel supply control apparatus is provided with a control means (52) wherein the fuel supply quantity of the respective types of fuel with respect to the intake air quantity, is determined in accordance with the characteristics of the respective types of fuel, and when one type of fuel is changed to another type of fuel, the intake air quantity is increased by a predetermined quantity, and the fuel supply quantity of one type of fuel is adjusted in accordance with the increased intake air quantity, and thereafter, one type of fuel is changed to another type of fuel while the increased intake air quantity is maintained, and the fuel supply quantity of another type of fuel is adjusted in accordance with the increased intake air quantity. In an internal combustion engine using two or more types of fuels, the types of fuel can be changed while the reduction of the environmental burden when the types of fuel are changed and the ensuring of the stability of the rotation number of an engine, are balanced.</p> |
