<p>The present application addresses the use of Telecommunications Devices for the Deaf (TDD/TTY) in the context of a VoIP Call Center.
Each incoming call goes through an automatic detection of TTY/TDD as well as of the specific protocol required (e.g., V.18, V.21 , EDT, Mintel, 50 baud Baudot, 45.45 baud Bot and Turbocode). According to the outcome of the detection procedure, the required TTY/TDD resources are allocated and the desktop of the agent handling the call is reconfigured.
The automatic detection involves one of: discriminating the telephone number dialled, analysis of a MODEM handshake, or playing recorded messages.</p> |
