The present invention relates to a power outlet device having one or more connection sockets to receive external power and supply the external power to electric/electronic devices plugged into the connection sockets. Specifically, the power outlet device comprises: a power module to receive external power, convert the voltage of the external power to DC5V, and output the DC5V power; a Wi-Fi module to transmit/receive data to/from an external terminal via Wi-Fi wireless communication; and an IP switch module provided with the Wi-Fi module to receive the DC5V power from the power module to provide the external terminal connected to the Wi-Fi module with an internet service. Accordingly, installing an extra wired/wireless router with Wi-Fi capability in general homes, restaurants, cafes, saloons, etc. for Wi-Fi users due to rapidly increasing smartphone users can be avoided, and power outlets with Wi-Fi capability can simplify installation and improve user convenience. |
