<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrophotographic roller where a conductive elastic layer has low surface electric resistance and accelerates the decay of electric charge though being formed by applying a liquid silicone rubber material containing uncured liquid silicone rubber and conductive particles, around a shaft core body. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an electrophotographic roller including a shaft core body and a conductive elastic layer covering the peripheral surface of the shaft core body includes a step (1) of applying liquid silicone rubber containing conductive particles around the periphery of the shaft core body to form a coating layer and a step (2) of hardening the coating layer to form the elastic layer. Further, the method includes a step of electrifying the surface of the coating layer to bring about polarization in the conductive particles in the coating layer due to electrostatic induction, in a period from the end of the step (1) or from during the step (1) to the end of the step (2). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
