<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact absorbing member for a vehicle, which includes columnar wood and a metal hollow-cylindrical frame surrounding an outer peripheral surface of the wood, which receives an impact at a collision as an axial compressive load, which restrains the frame from biting into the wood during compressive deformation, which makes the wood accurately exert its original function, and which stabilizes the compressive load. <P>SOLUTION: A frame 31 has a large number of depressions 33 on an outer surface, and the whole outer surface assumes an uneven shape. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
