<p>The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for determining a frequency band. The disclosed frequency band determination method comprises steps of: identifying category information of a terminal device for which an access was requested; determining if the identified category information and the frequency band which the terminal device accesses satisfy the predetermined condition; and rejecting an access of the terminal device if it is determined not to satisfy the predetermined condition. Accordingly, a terminal device is accepted to a frequency band suitable for a category thereof, resulting in dispersion of load for each frequency band as unnecessary occupation of communication resources for a speed higher than the speed supported by the terminal device, is removed. Also the present invention provides superb or adequate service for each frequency band of terminal devices to terminals.</p> |
