<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an information amount of a motion vector and to obtain highly accurate motion vector information. <P>SOLUTION: A motion vector detection apparatus includes: a block division section 10 for generating a block image obtained by dividing an original image; a spatial frequency analysis section 20 for generating a spatial frequency spectrum of the block image; a motion vector detection section 30 for detecting the motion vector of each of the block images; a spatial direction high frequency region power calculation section 41 for calculating a rate of spatial high frequency power from the spatial frequency spectrum; an average luminance difference calculation section 42 for calculating a differential value of average luminance among the plurality of adjacent block images; a block size correction section 43 for integrating the block images in a block set image and setting it to be an integrated block image when the rate of the high frequency power is a prescribed threshold or below and the differential value of the average luminance is a prescribed threshold or below; and a motion vector correction section 44 for outputting the average value of the motion vector of each of the block images as the motion vector of the integrated block image on the integrated block image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
