<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulper having improved maceration power. <P>SOLUTION: A pulper P comprises a baffle B provided on an inner wall of a cylindrical part 1B of a tank 1, and a face of the baffle B facing the cylindrical part 1B includes: a first face B1 formed by connecting a lowermost portion BS of the baffle B, a tip portion B11A having the largest Y coordinate among tip portions of a first linear part B11 of the baffle B, and a tip portion B11B having the smallest Y coordinate among the tip portions of the first linear part B11 of the baffle B; and a second face B2 formed by connecting the lowermost portion BS of the baffle B, the tip portion B11A having the largest Y coordinate among the tip portions of the first linear part B11 of the baffle B, and a portion B21B corresponding to a contact position between a first inclined part B21 and the inner wall of the cylindrical part 1B.
