<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tool having a resin housing with increased durability. <P>SOLUTION: An impact driver 1 includes a resin housing 2 housing a motor for driving a tip tool. The resin housing 2 includes an inner surface 11 for forming a storage space 20a for storing the motor and an outer surface which is positioned on the outside of the storage space 20a. An elastomer 12A is attached to a part of the outer surface. Plating is applied to both the inner surface 11 and a part of the outer surface excluding the surface where the elastomer 12A is attached, to form a plated layer 12B.
