Provided are a liquid crystal composition and a liquid crystal display device including the same. The liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate which is separated to face the first substrate, a liquid crystal layer which is arranged between the first and second substrates, and a light source which supplies light to the liquid crystal layer. The liquid crystal layer includes a cholesteric liquid crystal which includes a nematic liquid crystal and an optical activator and selectively reflects one wavelength, and dichromic dye which transmits the wavelength which is selectively reflected by the cholesteric liquid crystal. The dichromic dye has 0.01 to 10wt% of the whole liquid crystal layer.
