DISTRESS SIGNAL TRANSMITTER AND LIFE JACKET WITHIN THE SAME

The present invention relates to a distress signal transmitter and a life jacket including the same capable of quickly checking the accurate location information of a victim, such as a life jacket wearer as a passenger of the corresponding ship in the event of an incident at sea. The distress signal transmitter comprises: a GPS receiving unit receiving a GPS signal; a key input unit including a power button and a rescue request button operated by a user; a data process unit analyzing the GPS signal, extracting time information and position information at the corresponding point of time, and generating rescue request information; and a wireless communications unit transferring the rescue request information to an external device. Particularly, even in a situation that a victim cannot operate a distress signal transmitter, the distress signal transmitter and the life jacket including the same provide the accurate position of the victim to rescue the victim, thereby allowing the position of the all passengers of the accidental ship to be checked and remarkably increasing the possibility of rescuing the victims. Also, in the case of stopping the operated distress signal transmitter, the distress signal transmitter and the life jacket including the same can prevent malfunction of the distress signal transmitter due to operation mistake or unintended operation of a victim by setting multiple cancelation processes, thereby remarkably increasing the survival rate of victims. Therefore, the distress signal transmitter and the life jacket including the same can increase reliability and competitiveness in a marine accident field and a life-saving field as well as a field similar or related thereto.
