The present invention relates to a face object tracing method and, more specifically, to a frequency-based face object tracing method comprising: a step of determining whether or not an inputted image face object and a previous image face object are identical; a step of tracing the face object by renewing information on the previous image face object; a step of giving tracing frequency probabilities to the face objects which are being traced; and a step of finishing tracing the face objects having low tracing frequency probabilities. Therefore, the present invention can increase the accuracy of tracing the face objects.
