<p>The present invention relates to a system and a method to monitor performance of a dynamic position control system capable of accurate prediction for the performance of a dynamic position control system, linked with external environment applied to a ship. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a system to monitor performance of a dynamic position control system is provided, comprising: a sensor unit which measures environmental condition and voyage information of a ship; a dynamic position control system which generates a thrust control order to maintain a predetermined position based on the environmental condition measured from the sensor unit, and outputs the order to a thrust unit; a performance calculation system which monitors a performance index of the dynamic position control system, calculated by the amount of electricity used in the thrust unit, according to an environment external force applied to a corresponding ship, calculated by the environmental condition measured from the sensor unit, voyage information measured from the sensor unit; a position difference of the ship, calculated by using the thrust control order outputted by the dynamic position control system, and the outputted thrust control order.</p> |
