Disclosed are an electrolyte for a lithium battery and a lithium battery comprising the same, which comprises: a compound represented as chemical formula 1; non-aqueous organic solvent; and a lithium salt. In the chemical formula 1, X is hydrogen, a C1-C30 alkyl group, or C6-C30 aryl group; Y is silicon (Si) or germanium (Ge); Z is O-N(R)-Z_1, -O-M, or O-Si(R_3)(R_4)-Z_2; M is an alkali metal; R is hydrogen, lithium, or a C1-C30 alkyl group; Z_1 and Z_2 are independently hydrogen, a C1-C30 alkyl group, -Si(R_5)(R_6)(R_7), or -O-Si(R_5)(R_6)(R_7); R_1-R_7 are independently hydrogen, a C1-C30 alkyl group, a C1-C30 alkoxy group, a C6-C30 aryl group, a C6-C30 aryloxy group, a C7-C30 aryl alkyl group, a C2-C30 heteroaryl group, a C2-C30 (heteroaryl)oxy group, a C3-C30 (heteroaryl)akyl group, a C4-C30 carbon ring group, a C5-C30 carbon ring alkyl group, a C2-C30 hetero ring group, a C3-C30 hetero ring alkyl group, a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a cyano group, or an amino group. According to an embodiment, an electrolyte for a lithium battery can be used to manufacture a lithium battery with improved high-rate properties and average discharge voltage properties as well as to improve lifespan properties. |
