The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for electromagnetic stirring and, more specifically, relates to an apparatus and a method for electromagnetic stirring to separately raise inclusions in molten steel which is being rotated and stirred, by varying an applied strength of a magnetic field in accordance with the height of a vessel. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus for electromagnetic stirring to stir molten steel using an electromagnetic force comprises: an electromagnetic generation unit arranged on an outer side of a vessel to accept molten steel; a power part to supply power to the electromagnetic generation unit; and a control part to vary a magnetic field strength applied from the electromagnetic generation unit in accordance with the height of the vessel. |
