Device (1) for fixing a faucet (4) to an item of furniture or sanitary ware (11), the device comprising a nut (2) to thread to a fastening rod (3) of said faucet (4), and a tightening plate (5) for the nut (2) which is provided with a through-hole (6) for said rod (3). The nut (2) is rotatable attached to said tightening plate (5) so that it is susceptible of freely rotating with respect to the plate (5) in order to be threaded in the rod (2), said nut (2) forming, together with the tightening plate (5), a single fixing piece of the device (1).
