A blowout preventer assembly is provided and is generally configured to have a housing including: a fluid interconnection cylinder formed inside; a main sealing part located inside the housing; a cylindrical sleeve arranged in the fluid interconnection cylinder to be separated; an annular piston and a gland arranged in the sleeve; and a compression ring configured to be operated by the annular piston to operate the main sealing part. The blowout preventer assembly also has an upper gland assembly to separate a void in the housing from the fluid interconnection cylinder.
