<p>The present invention relates to a camera communication system and method using a reference light source which extracts data corresponding to an on/off image of a data light source by using the on/off image of two reference light sources having opposite on/off pulses. According to the present invention, the camera communication system using the reference light source comprises: a first and second reference light sources which are turned on/off at a same pulse per second (pps) and are turned on/off opposite to each other at the same time point; at least one data light source which is turned on/off at a same pps with the first and second reference light sources and are turned on/off in response to data to be transmitted; and a camera which photographs the on/off image of the first and second reference light sources and the data light source in consecutive frames at a predetermined frame per second (fps) and extracts data corresponding to the on/off image of the data light source by using the photographed on/off image of the first and second reference light sources and the data light source. The camera compares the on/off image of the data light source photographed per frame with the on/off image of the first and second reference light sources corresponding to the same frame, and extracts a binary data 1 when the on/off image of the data light source corresponds to the on/off image of the first reference light source, and extracts a binary data 0 when the on/off image of the data light source corresponds to the on/off image of the second reference light source.</p> |
