According to the present invention, a button type transmission controller is disposed inside a vehicle to control a transmission to transmit the engine output of the vehicle to a driving wheel and comprises: a main body installed inside the vehicle; and a plurality of gearshift buttons to be moved in a space between an operation position and a release position inside the main body. When one of the plurality of gearshift buttons is placed in the operation position, the rest of the plurality of gearshift buttons is moved to the release position.
