The present invention relates to a preparation method of a super absorbent resin. The preparation method comprises the steps of: a) preparing a hydrous gel phase polymer by performing thermal polymerization or photo-polymerization of a monomer composition comprising a water-soluble ethylene-based unsaturated monomer and a polymerization initiator; b) drying the hydrous gel phase polymer; c) crushing the dried polymer; d) classifying the crushed hydrous gel phase polymer into particles with the size of 150-300 um, particles with the size of 300-600 um, and particles with the size of 600-850 um; e) mixing after recombining 0.01-3.0 wt% of particles with the size of 600-850 um, 60.0-99.0 wt% of articles with the size of 300-600 um, and 0.01-39.0 wt% of particles with the size of 150-300 um, with respect to the total weight of the entire polymer classified by each particle size; and f) carrying out a surface cross-linking reaction of the hydrous gel phase polymer by adding a surface cross-linking solution in the recombined hydrous gel phase polymer and mixing the same. The present invention has an advantage of improving absorption properties (CRC, AUP, and SFC) and permeability together compared to a conventionally used high absorbent resin. |
