The present invention provides a method for monitoring the proximity of a first device (40) with regard to a second device (6). The method includes the steps of: a) monitoring at least one wireless link (10) between the first device (4) and the second device (6); and b) informing a user of the loss of the proximity of the first device (4) if the wireless link (10) is disconnected when an event stored in an electronic calendar is urgent.
