PROPERTY OF CASHEW GUM AS SUSTAINED RELEASE POLYMER IN SUSTAINED RELEASE TABLET

摘要

The present invention relates to an orally administrable sustained release tablet dosage form containing Aceclofenac as a model drug and cashew gum is to sustain the drug release. Sustained release property of cashew gum is studied and compared with xanthan gum. Cashew gum sustained drug release up to 24 hours. Combination of cashew gum and xanthan gum gives best results.
