<p>The present invention provides a mold clamping mechanism for a tire curing press. The tire curing press comprises a base, an upper housing secured onto the base, a lock/bayonet ring holding the upper housing, a guide column assembly, a loader-unloader assembly and a segment mold operator. The moldclamping mechanism locks between the mold cavities of the Upper housing resulting in a compact mold cavity, reduced footprint and weight of the tire curing press.</p> |
