The present invention relates to an apparatus for installing a turret and a method for installing a turret. More specifically, according to an embodiment of the present invention, provided is a method for installing a turret, which comprises steps of: installing a lower body of a turret on a hull; installing a pedestal in the lower body; measuring a rotational support supported to be rotated to the hull, which supports the pedestal when the lower body of the turret is rotated, an assembly unit wherein a swivel is assembled, and the amount of displacement of a side position and a flat position to the lower body; deriving resulting data by adding up the amount of displacement of a side position and a flat position about at least one of the rotational support and the lower body and the amount of displacement of a side position and a flat position to the assembly unit; and performing machining work of the pedestal on the basis of the resulting data.
