Class 38(1) A socket for the reception of a printed circuit panel 1. terminal portions 2 of the circuit of which are adapted to form pin contacts, comprises a body 3 having secured thereto by rivets 7 an insulating plate 5 on which ate printed conducting strips 4. The plate 5 is slotted as shown in Fig. 3 to form fingers carrying strips 4 which are pressed into engagement with the panel 1, when the latter is inserted between the plate 5 and body 3, by a comb-shaped spring plate 6. Several sockets may be attached together by rods 12 as shown in Fig. 9 and these rods may pass through the holes provided for the rivets 7. With the exception of the outer plate 5, the bodies 3 support the plates of the adjacent sockets. |
