Deployable shelter structure

A shelter structure (3) arranged to be deployed from a stowed configuration to a deployed configuration is disclosed. A plurality of elongate stays (4) supporting a flexible awning (5), are pivoted from a central hub to fan out and form a canopy. The stays (4) are stowed in an elongate storage container (2) which is mounted or mountable to a vehicle (1). The hub is located near an end of the container (2) so that the stays (4) can be rotated out of the container (2) through an elongate opening in the side of the container (2).
