The present invention relates to a transmission method for an energy efficient multimedia service in a wimedia network. The transmission method for the energy efficient multimedia service in the wimedia network reduces the unnecessary power consumption of a wimedia device by switching a power mode of the device into a low power mode if a receiving device senses the loss of a fragment of a data frame. According to the present invention, the unnecessary power consumption of the wimedia device is reduced in case the fragment of MSDU is lost. Particularly, in case of the loss of the fragment generated in a multimedia streaming application requiring an isochronous transmission, the unnecessary power consumption of the wimedia device is reduced based on time information set in a transmission device. The multimedia data is easily buffered by predicting the reception time of the following fragment.
