The method of complex treatment of bauxite relates to the non-ferrous metallurgy, in particular to the field of the production of alumina from bauxite and is particularly effective in the processing of bauxite having siderite. The technical result in the processing of bauxite is the production both of smelter grade alumina and conditioned iron ore concentrate. Iron compounds are extracted from bauxite to an iron ore concentrate, which is suitable for the production of steel, by a hydrophilic chemical method, wherein the bauxite is completely removed of siderite and then further processed to alumina by known methods. The separation of the iron compounds at the beginning of the process and the removal of siderite in the bauxite ensure an increase in the efficiency of the alumina production. |
