Discloses use of a CD89-activating molecule in the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of an autoimmune disorder or inflammatory condition by inducing apoptosis in neutrophils, wherein the CD89-activating molecule is a soluble molecule comprising Fc-alpha or a functional equivalent thereof.
